Sheikh Shadhuli Ismail Uddaram(QS)

This noble sheikh was born in 1857/1273 in a place called Uddaram near Kasargod district of Kerala State in India.  

He was educated and gained insight in the subject of Deen al Uloom by  Padyoor Muhammad Musliyar (QS), Ponnani Pazhayagath Zainuddin Kutty Makhdum (QS),  Bawa Musliyar (QS) and Ahmad Shirazi (QS). During the time of education Sheikh also worked in Dars of  Ponnani Juma masjid. Sheikh who worked in many Dars started Dars in a place called Uli in Kannur District. He also married  Umm Aysha daughter of Abdul Rahman Kurukkal from Uli. Sheikh was a blessed teacher for all his students. Sheikh was also a great poet and an excellent writer. He had written various books. Shadhuli Sheikh Mawlid, Awrad Tariqa Shadhuliyya Baqariyya are some of popular works.   

Sheikh Ismail Musliyar (may Allah be pleased with him) was the caliph of Kuppam Umar Musliyar (may Allah be pleased with him), the Shaykh, Sufi and great scholar of the Shaduli tariqa. Sheikh Ismail Musliyar QS passed away on the 17th of Jamadul Oola. Dargha of this great Sheikh is located in old masjid in Uli. The successor of this great Sheikh is Sheikh Ahmadunni  QS.  The silsila reached Sheikh Muhammad Ubaidulla Faisi Mangadav through his late father, great sufi scholar, Sheikh Abdul Shukoor Musliyar Mangadav QS who got it from his father renowned sufi sheikh Kambil Abdul Rahman Musliyar QS.
